Hello December,
Hello Oddies,
welcome to Day 1 of our Hol-ODD-Day
Hop!
We Odd Girls have
joined together for a fun event for EVERYONE - not just because you get to hop,
but because you get to PARTICIPATE and share your own holiday creations. So glad you've joined us for our 3rd annual
Hol-ODD-Day Hop!
We mixed things up a bit to bring you a nice
variety of holiday projects that we hope will inspire you. You can comment on all of the blogs,
participate by linking your own below (to be eligible to win, be sure you link
to us in your post), and comment throughout the event on other people's links
as well! And there will be
PRESENTS!
The hop goes from now through Friday, December
12th, and we'll be announcing 3 winners next Wednesday, December
17th, so you have plenty of time to comment between now and then! Our Hol-ODD-Day Hop link
party will close at midnight on Friday the 12th.
Its Nicole here
with a fun holiday project for the whole family join in on or just the kids if
you choose. Last year we stated the tradition of creating a Wist List mini book.
My daughter would sit with all the current toy magazines and cut
out the toys she wants for Christmas. Then we would create a mini album and glue
all the pictures inside the book. She would then decorate the front and back of
her book with crafty supplies and a little help from me. Each member of the
family can create a wish list mini book. Our wish list mini books are stored in
that years December Daily.
Below
are photos of this years wish list mini book featuring Sweater Kaylee. Colored
by my 6 year old daughter. I also used Some Odd Girl twine and hexagon wood
veneers.
1- Pick
out 3 12 x 12 card-stock papers.
2- Cut
each paper down to 7 x 12 (you can change the size to fit your crafty
needs).
3- Fold
each sheet in half.
4- Lay
paper 1 on your craft table.
5-
Adhere side 2a to 1a.
6- Then
adhere side 3a to 2b and side 3b to 1b.
7-
Decorate the front and back cover of your mini book (Design side 1a is your
front cover and design size 1b is your back cover).
Tip:
Have much family member color a stamped image in their wish list mini book, so
you can view their color progress over the year.
Check
out my daughters progress from last year to this year.
Today, all of the Odd Girls
have projects to share for the big event, so you can visit their blogs to see
all the action happening. Here's the hop
list for our awesome team:
Remember to
comment along the way, and link up your holiday-themed projects using
Some Odd Girl stamps (new or old)!
